DON'T START YOUR HOME BASED BUSINESS

Don't know how to do any of these? Then let's start with some information. Introduction A home based business is exactly what it sounds like, a business that's run out of one's home. I would totally agree that a home based business is NOT for everyone, but if it's right for you, then the rewards are definitely worth it. Having a home based business is an exciting way to make a living because it gives you the maximum amount of control over your future and your time. Business Questions Hundreds of thousands of individuals decide to start a home-based business each year. However, before entering this venture, entrepreneurs should consider a couple key questions. #1- Can you operate the business alone, with little help? #2 - Can your business in the home compete with similar businesses, such as the typical storefront business? Remember, the IRS specifies that a home-based business must have its own location away from the family living space that is devoted exclusively to the business. After you decide what type of business you are interested in, you need to be thorough and realistic about how much you need right from the start so your business isn't jeopardized after you've invested months of hard work. Starting a home-based business is often more costly than you think. Have You Enough Money? Are you prepared to spend the money required during the start-up phase of your business? Running out of money to pay off all your bills can be devastating. Keep in mind that the amount of money needed for starting your home based business depends on the product or services you are selling. If you want to make more money, but you don't want to risk your hard earned savings, then you need to be sure that you can obtain business credit so that you don't have to keep dipping into your personal savings and paychecks to fund your business needs. What About Your Office? Having a home office means you may be able to save on rent and labor costs associated with running a business elsewhere. In many cases, you will require very little capital to start a home based business, as you don't really have to rent office space, or employ staff. But, if your business is set up legally, you can claim a portion of your household costs (i.e. heat, mortgage/rent, electricity, etc.) as a legitimate business expense. Conclusion The most rewarding benefit of a home based business is the opportunity it provides to gain control over your own life, and the hardest thing about forming a home based business is knowing where to start. Beginning a home based business is a brave step to take towards financial independence, but you must take the correct steps to set up the business so that you can immediately start obtaining funding that will save you from having to take money from your pocket to pay the business bills. It is also critical that you protect your personal assets by making sure your business structure is legally sound so that if the business fails or your company gets sued, you won't be risking your home, car, or other personal possessions to a lawsuit. There is a new eBook on the market that explains the basics of setting up a business, including information about the tax advantages and disadvantages, as well as the basics of building a credit profile so that your company can start getting business lines of credit, business loans, and business credit cards.
