Autoresponders! One of the most popular flooring supplies is Wood Plank Flooring. There is a variety of wood species from which floors can be made. Flooring is made by either solid or engineered plank. Wood floors are associated with comfort, tradition and warmth. Therefore, they can be found in many houses, usually in the dining rooms and bedrooms. However, they have a serious disadvantage: since wood flooring is connected with cutting trees, it is not environmentally friendly. Planks can be made from pine, oak, maple, walnut, cherry, mahogany, etc. As far as coloring is concerned, they can be: light (e.g. Northern Hickory), light/medium (Antique White Pine), medium (Antique Yellow Pine), medium/dark (American Dark Walnut) or dark (Brazilian Walnut). Cork Flooring It is one of the flooring supplies, which is growing in popularity nowadays, is Cork Flooring. It is one of the easiest methods of flooring. It comes from an oak tree bark which is renewable. That is why this method is more environmentally friendly than the previous one. Besides, it is anti-microbial, non-toxic and insects-resistant. Corked floor is made of square, usually engineered, tiles. Amongst its other features we can mention resilience and durability. This method of flooring was popular in the first half of the 20th century. Later on it was relatively rarely used, however, today it is regaining popularity because of environmental concerns and attempts to save natural resources. Rubber Flooring Rubber flooring, on the other hand, is good for weightlifting, exercise or karate. Therefore, it is often used in Workout Centers, Weight Rooms and Gyms. It can be also found on stairs, in waiting rooms or on corridors. Rubber floors are made of rubber which has very good quality. Such floors have also many features: they are environmentally friendly, oil-resistant, easy to maintain, durable, sound absorbent, slip-resistant and flexible. Rubbed floors can be of every color (from white to black) and they can be made either from small or from large tiles. Ceramic Flooring Ceramic flooring is also one of the most popular flooring supplies especially in bathrooms, toilets and sometimes in the kitchens. There are numerous sizes, shapes and colors of ceramic tiles. They can be rectangular, square or even hexagonal. They can have from one to 24 square inches. Smaller tiles should be used for small rooms, whereas larger ones - for bigger spaces. Tiles are suggested to be put diagonally to achieve better visual effects. Ceramic tiles can be divided into: 1.Mosaic - with color pigments; they are made from clay 2.Porcelain - are extremely hard; they absorb less water than the other kinds of tiles. 3.Quarry - made from a mixture of clays; they are available in red, brown and grey. 4.Glazed - they usually have hand-painted beautiful patterns but are not very practical since they have tendency to be slippery.
