People start looking for extra sources of income - and the MLM (multi-level marketing) and network marketing industries start to boom! MLM leads, then, become an increasingly important commodity.

So how do you get MLM leads?

Well, some people prefer to buy them. Unfortunately, most of the MLM "leads" you buy aren't really leads at all. Some are just old pieces of information from closed network marketing companies you may have been a member of. Other supposed MLM leads are merely sold and resold lists of names and emails of people who once entered their contact info on a site for "more information" or to "take the tour".

The best way to get real MLM leads -- that is people who are actively looking NOW for a multi-level business opportunity -- is to generate them yourself. People who respond to an ad you have placed are HOT PROSPECTS -- and are TARGETED -- that is they have shown they are interested specifically in what you are offering -- and they are ready now to learn more.

BUT THERE IS A SECRET.....

Most people do not buy -- or join a company -- the first time they see information. The process to get people to actively participate is called "EXPOSE -- INVOLVE -- UPGRADE" -- which means that you need to drip information to them over a period of time.

The easiest way to do that is by using a tool called an AUTORESPONDER. Autoresponders will send emails for you over a period of time that you select. You don't even have to have your computer on!

An autoresponder will send a series of messages to your MLM leads so that they can get comfortable with you and whatever network marketing company or product you are promoting. When a person decides to start participating based on what they learned from your autoresponder messages - you UPGRADE them from an MLM lead to a serious prospect. At this point it might be worth a personal phone call to see what information they still need to make a good business decision about your opportunity.

So here is how you do it:

1.) Choose a professional autoresponder company. If you are serious about your business, you want to deal with professionals with a full time staff... not someone who does this for a hobby.

2.) You will need one series of messages for each ad campaign -- so make sure you can have unlimited lists for the same monthly price. Also, be certain you can have unlimited subscribers/ MLM leads on each list -- why pay extra!

3.) You will want a method for tracking your results so that you can drop ad campaigns that aren't working and put more attention onto the ones that do.

4.) Make sure your autoresponder company will provide opt in forms at no extra charge. These are the forms your prospects fill out to request your information.

5.) Free training and customer support are critical. It's important to be able to reach live help when you have a question.

Once people move from being MLM leads -- to joining your opportunity, you can move them to another autoresponder, set up to send out training letters and announcements of special events!

So be smart! Use an autoresponder to get targeted MLM leads. Move them from leads to serious prospects through your letters -- and then to team members who join your company.
