I was invited to attend a panel on tax lien investing; boy did I feel dwarfed among the other panelists. They are not well known tax lien investing experts, but they are very successful investors, and I'm sure that they invest more money in tax liens and make more money in tax liens than most of the tax lien investing "gurus" that teach people how to do it (myself included). You see, I'm a small investor, I started out with small liens and I still invest in small liens. I still invest a few thousand dollars a year in tax liens, but these guys invest hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars a year. A couple of them are tax lien agents, they invest for other people, but one of them invests strictly for himself. And guess what, I may be doing a new course on tax lien investing with this individual. I can't wait to tell you more about him. He is a very charismatic speaker, with a great sense of humor and he made being a participant on the panel lots of fun. His name is Bill Golden and you'll be hearing more about him from me in the near future. Equity Trust Company plans to turn this educational and networking weekend into an annual event and I highly recommend that you attend next year. I had the pleasure of meeting some of you at this event. I met some of my subscribers that attended from all over the country - California, Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, Arizona, and my own state Pennsylvania. I really enjoyed the chance to talk to some of you in person and I hope that I'll see even more of you there next year. And I do hope that it's in Orlando again, it was nice to swim outdoors and sunbath for a little while before I came home to the cold north. I only wish that I set aside the entire weekend so that I could have taken advantage of all of the great discussion panels and presentations they did. I learned so much at a discussion panel that I attended on loaning money from your IRA. There was so much good information given out by experts who were willing to share information. So many investing conferences are just selling frenzies, where you get just enough information to make you want to buy a program to learn more. This was a real educational and networking weekend where people exchanged information. I met some great people there and I hope to be able to do some joint venture projects with a couple of them. Next year, even if I'm not a speaker, I'll be sure to attend this event.
