There are many folks on the web today that remind me of parrots. They mimic one another without even finding out the truth for themselves. They hear this so called Internet guru say this does not work, hence they believe it and pass it a long as a myth. In reality they are missing out on additional sales for FREE!

What is a Refer A Friend script? It is a simple form, usually only gathering a person's name and email and either a family member or friends name and email. There is a prewritten email that is generated with their family or friends name personally inserted telling their family and or friends of your product or service. The email usually has a subject stating something similar to: "To Name" an email from "Senders Name"

Here is just one of my Refer a Friend scripts so as you can see it in action.

The matter of fact is that most anything can and will work if utilized correctly. Now the important words I am using here "most anything".

First off, if you can get folks to use your refer a friend script, these referrals are very powerful. Why you ask? Simply this is a family member or an associate recommending your product or service to another friend or family member. It is a simplified version of Word of Mouth Advertising! In other words a visitor to your site recommended by a friend or family member is more likely to buy from you as well.

More sales for no additional money each day!

So how do you get visitors to your web site to use your refer a friend script? There are a couple ways to accomplish this effectively.

First you want it prevalent on some of your web pages. The second, and more effective way to get them to use it is to have them agree to accept future emails from you upon checking out when they purchase your product or service. If you do not have a multi-reply autoresponder, I highly urge you to get one now. The best from my tests is Aweber. You will find this one of the most valuable marketing tools in your online arsenal!

Now you can create numerous follow up emails, that are sent out automatically at the time intervals you set. Now your first follow up may not mention the refer a friend script. Why? Simply make the first contact to thank your customer. Do not try to sell them something and let them have time to try your product or service prior to asking them to refer someone else. In reality, a person who is very pleased with your product or service will be a more likely candidate to refer someone else.

Now in all of your future follow up emails, ask you customer if they would refer a friend or family member that might either enjoy or benefit from your product and or service. Do not place in the same area each time you send your email. One email it may be at the start of the page, the next towards the middle or bottom of the email.

Be sure to utilize your follow up email to benefit you with backend sales of other products and services you offer.
