The Transformation of a Professional Victim By Nikki Jourdan

Childhood abuse had left me confused and unsure. Self-Help books and tapes became my lifestyle. And even though I gained knowledge to open and expand my thinking; it did not get rid of the baggage. Inspiration came to rescue me in grade school and I fell in love with writing and the power of words.

It was only when I had a supernatural encounter with Love that my life changed for good. Jesus of Nazareth introduced Himself to me as I knelt in mom's bedroom asking, "God if you are real, show me." He has been showing up since and I am changed for life. He only comes by personal invitation or by intercession made on your behalf.

What I have since come to realize is the power of love; its profound affect on the person that chooses to give or express it; as well as others who choose to receive it. I could not comprehend how or why other people felt threatened by the power of this amazing love.

I have also learned that confused people confuse other people. Unforgiven people cause others to walk in un-forgiveness and a root of bitterness. Rebellious and hard headed people make rebels and other people hard headed. People who have issues with leadership influence others to find fault and ridicule those in authority. Angry and jealous people anger and cause others to act and be jealous. Unstable people make others act and feel unstable. And poverty minded people cause other people to have a poverty mentality. Abusive and controlling people make other people think and act controlling and abusive. Tormented and unhappy people torment and make others unhappy. Rejected and abandoned people make other people feel rejected and empty; worthless.

It seems to get worst before it gets better.

As a result; I changed back into the mold of status quo; meaning I was contained in a box and walled up from head to toe. The negative words and actions of others were "containers" of death for me: I breathed, but it was stale air. I heard; but hearing was dull and muffled. I saw; but seeing was distorted. I could feel; but it was numb and apathetic. I ate; but food has no taste. I cried; but no one cried for me. Deliverance was available; but I had no power to choose. Is this you? Someone you know?

In fact, by the time I was fully grown I had unknowingly become a Professional Victim. It was as though I had walked out of life; and retreated to Victim Island.

I believe victims of abuse (of any form), must discover the first vision; God has given. Then acquire every skill,knowledge and plan to make it successful. Develop it and refine it and use it to make a difference in this world by giving extraordinary Service and Value in life.

For that, alone, is what we are held accountable for doing....no matter how many other things we get involved with.

So day after day; life moves on. Based mostly on something that happened in the past. Someone in the past. Hindrance after hindrance. Dread after dread. Are you listening?

To get on the Wheel of Fortune - We must first let go of the Wheel of Mis-Fortune and all the tricks, traps, confusion; deception; un-forgiveness; anger; torment; nightmares; masks and fear from the past....so all of us can move ahead; move forward in life.

It is obvious that we do and are capable of producing good work; that has never been an issue. Potential has always been there; still is!! We just never sat down to plan it through to cover All the bases. At the first sign of difficulty; we tend to abort and abandon the vision. Or allow someone to talk us out of taking the next step towards it. Not being fully aware that "failure" is a lesson in itself, which says" Do Not Go This Path" - Choose Another Way."

But you and I both know what we are to do. We just need time alone with God to come in agreement to do whatever it is; His way. If you and I could see the room set aside for us by Father God. It has all the provisions and everything we will ever need: Waiting.

At last, wisdom! Godly wisdom gives the "how to" that turns the "why" (Knowledge) into Understanding. And it all works by love.
