Wikipedia defines Affiliate Marketing as: "Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. It is an application of crowd-sourcing. You can become an Affiliate Associate marketer by joining an affiliate program. Here, you are advertising and selling someone else's product. In this case you do not have any development costs for the product. In addition you do not have to set up and maintain a highly professional website. In otherwords, you do not have any overhead costs. The first step to take is to get your Affiliate Lead Capture Page listed on search engines. It is important to promote your website in such a way that your Lead Capture Page ends up as the number one slot on page one of the search engines. To do this, you will need to conduct research to find Niche keyword phrases that have a search volume of 250 searches per month or more, and optimized search results of under 10,000, and which have several paid Ads on the page. This is a process that is well worth the investment of several days time. First, you need to research your affiliate to determine what keywords buyers are using to find the subject site. In otherwords you want to seperate out all of the tire kickers and drive only buyers to your Lead Capture page (LCP). Additionally you need to find Niche buying phrases that are not too competative, inorder to enable you to quickly take over the number one spot on Google. After you find your Niche Keyword phrases, you need to promote your Affiliate Associate program LCP using Articles, Advertisements, by writing Blogs and or useing traffic exchanges, safe lists or other means such as videos. Each promotion, ie, an article would be discussing one of your Niche keyword phrases. All of your promotions would end up pointing to your LCP, which itself has been optimized for one of your Niche phrases. (Included in the Title Tag) The key here is twofold, Selecting a Good Affiliate Associate, and Proper promotion of Niche keyword phrases, to get your LCP to page one of Google.
