Do you ever get weary, wondering if God really hears your prayers? Not to long ago, I was getting weary and tired, wondering if the things that I was doing really made a difference to the kingdom of God. I asked God if I was fooling myself into thinking that I could make a difference on this earth. I asked Him to please show me in someway if what I was doing was truly what He wanted me to be doing. God is so faithful. When we ask him, He sends us answers. That same afternoon a lady came into our food pantry. She had been there before. She has been dealing with serious health issues and we were praising God for her recovery. Out of the blue, she said, Linda do not ever think that your prayers go unanswered and she told me the story of her salvation. She was on drugs in a small town up north. She had lost her job, sold all of her belonging and had given up hope. She believed that she could not ask for help from anyone because of the way people talked in that little town, so in her mind, she was going to lay there in her apartment and die. There was a pastor of the local church who went around on Saturdays to invite the local residence to church on Sunday. This particular day, when he knocked on her door, he had an apprentice with him. When she opened the door, she told them to go away, she was at the end of her ropes and was going to lay there and die. She had no need to go to a church because they could not save her from all that she had done and she closed the door on them. She watched them from the peep whole and they bowed there heads and prayed at her door. The next morning she called an ambulance was put into the hospital and then into a treatment center. She received Christ as her savior and has been living her life for him since that day. She said, you see, these people never knew the difference that they made in my life. That one little prayer that they prayed as I closed the door set off a whole chain of events that changed my life radically. She commented, you will not always see the results of your prayers, but you can be assured that God hears everyone and answers them in his perfect timing not yours. I knew at that moment, I had just received a message from my wonderful Father sent to encourage me through a trying time. When she left, I just wept. God you are so faithful. You always send the messenger to encourage us to keep going when we are tired and weary. Wonderful Father God, thank you for your love. So today, I am praying that you too, will be blessed with the story of this wonderful lady. I am praying that you are encouraged to keep on doing what ever it is you do to serve our wonderful father in heaven and that you know, that even if it is nothing but a little prayer, it is bigger than anything materially that you can give. I am praying blessings for you today.
Iam passionate about the love of Jesus and the things that He has done in my life and I am so excited that I have to share with the world what He has done, not only in my life, but in others lives as well.
