Why Violin Lessons is Beneficial to your Children
It is in their best interest! Why are violin lessons so popular with parents? How are they beneficial for children? The brain of a child will develop better when music lessons are part of its education. That is a proven fact. A child is never too young to be introduced to music. Six month old babies recognize their caregiver's or mother's voice. They have some phonetics stored within the auditory cortex already. Babies respond to these voices, phonetic sounds, and music because there is recognition. Music takes down walls. Music crosses boundaries. Music is not relevant to age. Unborn babies hear the world around them. Even while they are still in the womb they start storing sounds to remember. Exposure to the waves of music before birth has a positive effect on the baby. Brain cell development occurs with exposure to activities and elements that enrich the individual. The connection made because of music instruction is also beneficial when the child is expected to progress in abstract reasoning, spatial intelligence, and mathematics. Children who were enough exposed to good music and received music training at a young age just have better neural connections and will make more progress in other fields too. The mind of a child at the time of conception is as empty as a sheet of copy paper. It is up to the people around the child to start writing on that sheet. The presence of a violin in the ever popular classical music is evident. Plenty of practice and good training are needed to become a good violinist. Violin instruction starts with learning the several parts of this instrument and learning how to hold it. Children are taught how to store and care for their violin. It is reasonable to expect that a hardworking violin student can actually play the instrument in about 4 months. Some students need more time. Mastering the instrument should not be the most important aspect of violin lessons. Learning how to play this instrument should in the first place bring joy to the violin student.
