Lynda Monk, MSW, RSW, CPCC is the founder of Creative Wellness – a life and health coaching business specializing in educating and supporting helping professionals including social workers, counselors, therapists, coaches, healers and leaders to radically reduce stress, prevent burnout and create well-balanced lives through the art of self-care.

Lynda brings twenty years of social work experience to her coaching business including ten years as a front-line social worker in child welfare, children’s mental health and medical social work, combined with ten years as a trainer/consultant in the areas of organizational health and employee well-being. She has three university degrees including her Masters of Social Work and she is a member of the BCASW – British Columbia Association of Social Workers. She is also a certified professional co-active coach (CPCC) and a member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF).

Lynda is the author of Life Source Writing: A Reflective Journaling Practice for Self-Discovery, Self-Care, Wellness and Creativity as well as the producer of the Creative Wellness Guided Meditations CD. Lynda also has published numerous articles in various professional publications and the author of over twenty training programs in the areas of work-life balance, stress and trauma management, workplace wellness, burnout prevention, care for the caregiver, etc. She uses an arts-based, holistic (mind, body, spirit, heart) approach to change, growth and wellness. She is trained in many expressive and healing arts including journal writing, Esalen Massage, Reiki, Healing Touch, as well as solution focused approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry.

She weaves her many years of training, education, writing, personal and professional experiences together in service to supporting you with achieving your health, wellness and self-care goals in both life and work. Her clients are located internationally. She lives on Salt Spring Island, located on the west coast of Canada with her husband and two young sons.
