France Wine is pleased to announce a great award season for its French wine producers. The ratings and reviews below arrive right on time to celebrate the first year of activity of this young and dynamic export group: France Wine. And what a year!

France Wine, acting as a shared export department for six French vineyards, is especially proud of its first major success in the US Market. France Wine put together a partnership between US importers Bourgeois Family and France Wine producer Nicolas Baptiste with Domaine de la Serre (Maury, Languedoc-Roussillon). The result, Cuvée Stéphi Syrah Grenache 2007 was immediately reviewed by Parker's team and scored an amazing 89 points: "Under $15, Cuvée Stéphi is definitely the best value from Roussillon in the US Market this year" commented US Importer Philippe Bourgeois about this France Wine success story. Robert Parker's associate David Schildknecht says on eRobertParker.com: "This wine serves as an excellent example of the richness, flavour interest, and terrific value that can accrue to an inexpensive, tank-rendered wine from Roussillon".

A second publication recognized France Wine members: The Hachette Guide. Jerome Bezios, owner & winemarker in Gaillac made France Wine's pride as well. In addition to an excellent 2 stars Hachette Guide for his Domaine la Croix des Marchands "Methode Gaillacoise" 2006 (sparkling white), Mr Bezios's Gaillac wine so called "les secrets de Château Palvié" received a fantastic "Coup de coeur" along with 2 stars as well from the Hachette Guide. Its two vineyards, Château Palvié and Domaine la Croix des Marchands have a bright future ahead.

France Wine burgundy producer Domaine Debray was awarded in the same publication with 1 star for its Crémant de Bourgogne (sparkling) 2007, St Aubin 2007 and St Romain 2007.

The last but not the least, France Wine producer Domaine Michelas St Jemms (Rhone Valley) was highly rated in the prestigious Decanter Magazine, wining an enthusiastic rating: 4 stars with Decanter for its Croze-Hermitage "Terre d'Arce" 2006.

Such series of awards celebrate a tremendous work for France Wine in sourcing the best producers and selecting the best importers around the world to promote French wine production.
