PR agency, PHA Media, have been hired by Secret Millionaire, Dominic List to deliver a public relations campaign to boost his personal profile, as well as his incredible charitable work.
List's appearance on the Secret Millionaire was one of the most memorable of the series. Going undercover in one of the most deprived parts of Peckham, List got involved in helping individuals and organisations including a Baptist Church Youth Club. He donated money, as well as kitting out a quiet room with IT equipment -- giving the young people the opportunity to complete school related work in a peaceful environment. He also helped an apprentice scheme for young mechanics, both donating money and by inviting them to Brands Hatch to experience the buzz of motor racing. Finally, he helped a family suffering from ill health and problems with gangs in the area to relocate.
Dominic has always had an interest in philanthropy and helping those from a less fortunate background. In the past, he has regularly invited young people from Tower Hamlets into his company on apprentice schemes, and he is now involved in a major project with the British Library and Frederick's Foundation.
PHA Media will be responsible for all public relations in respect of List's latest project with the Fredrick's Foundation which provides hope to the thousands of talented, yet disadvantaged entrepreneurs out there. Dominic has paid for 150 advertisement billboards to go up across London, inviting entrepreneurs to pitch him their business ideas. The best ideas will then be taken through a Dragon's Den style pitch process before the top five are given start-up funding and mentoring from Dominic. The only stipulation is that they must have applied for funding elsewhere and been refused, so successful applicants could include the long term unemployed and ex-cons. This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to get their businesses off the ground, and seems especially apt during the current economic climate, when funding is incredibly hard to come by.
PHA Media are delighted to support Dominic as they build his profile and that of his ongoing philanthropic work, using new media PR and digital PR techniques as well as traditional media.
