"Since somebody mentioned putting authors together with zine publishers, I'm going to come out of lurker status and recommend IdeaMarketers (http://www.ideamarketers.com). I've had a lot of success there in marketing MY articles (for cross promotion of my zine) and I've also found that the writing quality--generally speaking--seems to be good. There ARE two levels of membership for publishers, free or paid. People using the free service have access to articles for the first 30 days that they are online. After that, they're available only to paid publisher accounts.

Although I do not do freelance writing for a living, writing has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was in my teens.
